Mission Statement
Hiawatha Cocker Spaniel Club, Inc.
The Hiawatha Cocker Spaniel Club, Inc. (HCSC) was established in 1942 for the purpose of promoting the best interests of the Cocker Spaniel and continues today in this purpose by:
- Encouraging the improvement of the breed using the written standard as a guide.
- Encouraging health testing.
- Providing information and encouragement to individuals interested in the breed.
- Maintaining a breed referral program.
- Educating members and the public about sound breeding practices, to promote the welfare of the breed.
- Holding clinics conducted by experts in various canine health fields.
- Developing the talent and ability in those individuals who wish to become licensed judges.
- Holding conformation shows and obedience trials.
- Promoting enjoyment of the Cocker Spaniel.
